Duncan Quinn's Cool Classics

Roaming the streets of downtown Manhattan this past weekend, I came upon the tiny men’s store Duncan Quinn on Spring Street. The London-born former lawyer designs men’s styles that are "constructed to celebrate days of glory and nights of excess." In 2003, he opened his first shop in New York, followed by another shop in Hollywood and more recently in Dallas.

Duncan Quinn offers both bespoke clothing (specifically his suits) and ready-to-wear, such as 100% cotton shirts that are made in a small artisanal production house in Italy, 100% silk ties woven in England, sterling silver and enamel cufflinks made in London, as well as handmade umbrellas and socks. Many of these items feature Quinn’s signature fleur-de-lis motif.

Quinn describes his bespoke service as "an investment in the future, influenced by the past." Quinn's suits are slim, fitted and special orders can be made using the unique weaving of a "one-off" cloth that will only ever be used for your garment. This past spring, Duncan Quinn become the exclusive retailer for G.J. Cleverley of Bond Street, London's handmade English shoes.
