A Current Affair: Pop-Up Vintage Marketplace

Too bad I'll be working this weekend. If I weren't, I'd be going to this to check out the vintage art + clothing. Try going on the 11th so you can check out Artisanal LA right afterwards.

C’H’C’M’

C’H’C’M’ (Clinton Hill Classic Menswear), is an online men's shop that has an impressive collection of American and European brands that all have strong heritage, incredible attention to detail and keep basic function in mind. Their booth at this past November's Pop-Up Flea here in New York created tons of buzz and anticipation for their next pop-up in January in the East Village where they will roll out their Spring 2010 line.

Sweetu Patel founded the company in March 2009. A former furniture designer, the selection includes names like Gitman Brothers, Saint James, Mackintosh, Drakes, Northern Waters, Jack Spade and Rogues Gallery. Shop C’H’C’M’ here.

Stella McCartney Pop-Up and Pop-In

For the first time ever, Stella McCartney is popping-up a store in East Hampton- but only for this weekend! The shop will feature the 2009-2010 Fall and Resort collections and a percentage of the proceeds will benefit the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center.

The Study Center (which is in close proximity to the pop-up shop) is the studio where iconic American painter Jackson Pollock and wife Lee Krasner lived while Pollock created some of the world's most famous contemporary art. Make sure you bike over to the center and brush up on your art history after you finish shopping!

A Men's Market

An in-the-know friend told me about this pop-up flea market for men going on this weekend. You should definitely go. Although, I would suggest going to La Esquina before eating the Café Select offerings. Click the image to read more.
