Elliott Erwitt Photography

Tod’s has teamed up with a legendary photographer Elliott Erwitt to make a photo series “Icons by an Icon” to showcase the classic lifestyle luxury brand. The collection of 40 photographs showcases cosmopolitan families from Europe and the US wearing Tod’s classics. All of these images will be exhibited in Tod’s shop windows between March and April 2010.

Dovecote of Westport

One of my favorite reasons for going home to Connecticut is shopping in Westport's Dovecote. Sarah Kaplan, owner, has created an incredible mix of mid-to-the-19th-and-beyond century furniture and furnishings housed in a historic building in downtown Westport.

Traveling to Paris and the south of France six times a year, she finds the best antiques and brings them into her shop. Design services are available, along with their jewelry store next door that can’t be missed. If I owned a store, I would want it to look and feel like Dovecote.

Brown Leather Sandals

I've never been a girl to wear black leather, but brown is another story. After I had to put down my favourite pair of brown flat woven Frye sandals last summer, I've been on the hunt for a replacement pair. The "Lazlo Sandal" by Elizabeth and James, shown bottom, are similar in style and would be awesome with a simple wrap dress or tunic. I also love these (much more affordable) pair from Forever 21, shown top. I would have never thought to look there, but I'll definitely be picking them up!
