Pedro Almodovar: Women on the Verge

In 1988, Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar took the international film scene by storm when he debuted his comedy (now a cult classic) Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, a 48-hour snapshot of the romantically “challenged” lives of a group of women. I remember this being one of the first Spanish films that I fell in love with (...many years later). I've never been a fan of Broadway, but I want to see this!

Forage Bow Ties

Forage is a fab new company that is creating bow ties in three different silhouettes inspired by Louis Kahn, Charles Eames and Le Corbusier. Just the right combination of fabrics in classic patterns and colors. Obsessed with the details (as they should be), their products are crafted with simple hardware, vintage french woven labels and the perfect box.

Preppy and put together. Who doesn't like that (right...?) Does anyone in L.A. even wear bow ties? Where are you? Let's hang.

3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2011 RTW

There's always Style.com when you can't make it to New York's Fashion Week (sigh). It's one of the best Phillip Lim collections I've seen. A clean, neutral palette with layers of t-shirts, organza, tulle and lace. So good. M
aybe it had something to do with Dries Van Noten as his show stylist and collection consultant? Maybe it was just those shoes. Oh, the shoes.

See it all here.

Film: Never Let Me Go

Mark Romanek adapts and directs Kazuo Ishiguro's sixth novel, Never Let Me Go. Still need to see this.
