Trending Now: Booties

I'm on the hunt for booties like these. I feel like I never wear heels anymore now that I'm living in L.A. If I found those booties shown on top, I don't think I'd ever take them off!

Felix Doolittle Designs

I'm thrilled that I came across this lovely little site, Felix Doolittle. From stationary to paper weights and baker's labels, they personalize everything that would be on your desk at home (or in the kitchen!). These return labels are my personal fave.

Theory Finds: Spring 2011

Theory is always chock-full of classics that never go out of style. Anything blue, white or with stripes are my staples, and their latest additions don't disappoint. I hope my girlfriends in New York are taking full advantage of the Theory sample sales I once took for granted- they are nowhere to be found in L.A.! So for now, I'm stuck shopping Theory resort here.

Hermes Screen Leathers

Hermes has posted (via their facebook page) 'screen leathers' available for download on your computer (or iPhone or iPad!). I'm loving the ostrich grey. Check them out here.

Trending Now: Neon Bolds

The look: Bright, bold neon accessories. Love how Tory Burch is doing this for Spring 2011.

Style tip: “Neon jewelry looks great with a print. Layer several necklaces together for maximum effect,” notes stylist Tabitha Simmons.

Scrapwood Wallpaper

I love wide-plank wood flooring and panelling. Apparently Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek, does too! These wallpaper sheets are made to look like real scrapwood, and I'm obsessed. I'm not usually one for accent walls, but one of these babies would look pretty rocker-chic in a nice little nook. Shop here.

Converse in SoHo, New York

How rad is this American 'flag' at the new Converse shop in New York? I was checking out my very talented friend's blog, deshëco, and came across this newly designed store (it's Converse's second retail shop worldwide).

The real game changer with the store is their sneaker printers. After deciding on a pair of kicks, consumers can scroll through thousands of designs on iPads set-up throughout the shop. Your new kicks are printed right there on site, all while you wait. Cool, innovative retail experiences get me every time.

Be sure to check out Rob Dalton's blog, deshëco, here.

Mad Men in Rolling Stone

How can you not love these images of the Mad Men cast featured in Rolling Stone magazine? Old news, I know, (from in the August 31 issue), but the nostalgic, behind-the-scenes images still manage to capture the essence of an era long lost. View more here.

Diptyque Paris

Who: Diptyque

What: The French fragrance company’s new(ish) roll-on gel cologne

Why bother: Roll-on gel is lighter than spray. The French fragrance house has designed a 20-milliliter roll-on that delivers four of its classic scents in a tiny glass bottle. Diptyque says the metal ball "intensifies the fresh nature of its colognes, leaving a delicately dosed scented veil on the skin."

Scent: "L’Eau," has hints of Italian green mandarin, grapefruit and orange blossom; "Hesperides," spiked with bitter orange, lemon and African rosemary; "Neroli," which has Italian bergamot, Indonesian patchouli and tarragon; and "Tarocco," smells like ginger, saffron and Bulgarian roses

How much and where: $48 at diptyqueparis.com

Roll on.

Elle Decor :: Chic Ski House

This month's Elle Decor features the mother/daughter team from M. Elle Designs (based here in California) and their creation of this chic and rustic home. It's not too cutesy, but warm, cozy and has the right amount of masculinity. Love.

Pedro Almodovar: Women on the Verge

In 1988, Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar took the international film scene by storm when he debuted his comedy (now a cult classic) Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, a 48-hour snapshot of the romantically “challenged” lives of a group of women. I remember this being one of the first Spanish films that I fell in love with (...many years later). I've never been a fan of Broadway, but I want to see this!

Music: J. Tillman

J. Tillman's 'Firstborn.' Based in Seattle, Washington and member of the folky-pop band, Fleet Foxes. This mellow and austere gem is too good.

Forage Bow Ties

Forage is a fab new company that is creating bow ties in three different silhouettes inspired by Louis Kahn, Charles Eames and Le Corbusier. Just the right combination of fabrics in classic patterns and colors. Obsessed with the details (as they should be), their products are crafted with simple hardware, vintage french woven labels and the perfect box.

Preppy and put together. Who doesn't like that (right...?) Does anyone in L.A. even wear bow ties? Where are you? Let's hang.

Forage here.
