I love these books by René Goscinny! The Nicholas series is a collection of very sweet and very funny children’s books about a French boy and his schoolmates who cause mayhem and are then baffled by the despair of the adults. Originally published in France in 1959, these books have been bestsellers ever since. The illustrations by Jean-Jacques Sempé are just as charming as the stories. Buy them here.
